Michael J. Ciolli

Founder & Principal, Piton Advisors

Michael J. Ciolli is the founder and Principal of Piton Advisors, LLC. He has over 25 years of CFO / COO / executive advisor, investment banking, buyside M&A / PE advisory, corporate/business development, equities research, and VC / entrepreneurial management experience. Michael often serves as an interim-CFO / COO / Executive Advisor for his clients.

Prior to Piton, Michael was a Senior Associate with The Chesapeake Group (“CGI”), a buy-side M&A advisory firm specializing in the IT and business services industries. He advised corporate and financial sponsor partners on more than 15 strategic projects, including five closed transactions worth more than $100 million. Prior to CGI, Michael was an Equity Research Analyst with Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette (“DLJ”) covering the IT and business services industries. He has written more than 100 investment recommendations and collaborated on over $1 billion in capital raises.

Michael received his MBA in finance and management from Columbia Business School and BA in economics and physics from Colgate University. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children
